Benefits
Paid Time Off: After 90 days of employment, PTO is earned at a rate based upon the hours worked and years of employment.
Paid Comprehensive Training: Receive CBRF Certification training that includes standard precautions, fire safety, first aid and choking, and medication administration and management.

Apartment Director
Are you a compassionate leader who is passionate about providing exceptional care to seniors? Sunlight Assisted Living is seeking an experienced and motivated Apartment Director to oversee the daily operations of our Residential Care Apartment Complex (RCAC) in Thorp, WI. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents while leading a dedicated care team.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Apartment Director is responsible for the overall management and operation of the community, ensuring high-quality tenant care, regulatory compliance, staff leadership, occupancy growth, and financial stewerdship. This role combines healthcare oversight, team management, tenant advocacy, and business operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Staff Management
- Recruit, train, supervise, and support caregiving staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and manage employee scheduling.
- Ensure accurate timekeeping and staff accountablility.
- Lead team meetings and foster a positive workplace culture.
Tenant Care & Quality of Life
- Ensure Tenants receive care according to their Individual Service Plans (ISPs).
- Collaberate with care teams, familites, and healthcare providers.
- Promote a safe, engaging, and supportive living environment.
- Develop monthly activity calendars tailored to tenant interests and needs.
Medication & Compliance Oversight
- Oversee medication administration processes.
- Maintain communication with pharmacies and medical providers.
- Audit medication records and ensure accurate documentation.
- Keep tenant records and electronic care plans current and compliant.
Community Operations
- Manage facility maintenance and oversee equipment upkeep.
- Coordinate amergency preparedness and staff training.
- Develope weekly meal plans and grocery orders.
- Maintain accurate incident reports and operational records.
Occupancy & Community Relations
- Build relationship with referral sources.
- Conduct assessments of prospective tenants.
- Support occupancy growth through community outreach and marketing efforts.
Financial Management
- Manage operating expenses within budget guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Leadership or management experience in assisted living, healthcare, senior living, or a related field preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead teams while maintaining a tenant-centered approach.
- Experience with medication management, care planning, and regulatory compliance is highly desirable.
- Ability to respond to emergencies and participate in an on-call rotation.
